Details

Stanford University Model United Nations (SUMUN) is a three-day long international relations symposium for college/university students held on Stanford’s campus in Palo Alto, California. We are Stanford University’s first and only collegiate Model United Nations conference.

SUMUN was founded in 2024 by Claudia Sung and Tesfa Madhin and will hold its second iteration in Spring 2026. SUMUN is run by the Stanford International Affairs Society, which also holds the Stanford Model United Nations Conference (SMUNC) for high schoolers.
