The Stanford Alpine Club promotes the safe enjoyment of alpinism (rock climbing, ice climbing, mountaineering, ski mountaineering, etc.) in the Stanford Community. The Stanford Alpine Club (SAC) has a strong history of alpine excellence at Stanford University and beyond. SAC was founded in 1946. The modern SAC perpetuates the original spirit of alpinism by providing a forum for planning excursions, and by introducing new members to the safe and responsible enjoyment of mountaineering, rock climbing, ice climbing, ski mountaineering, and other alpine pursuits.

As "Custodians of Stanford Spirit, Tradition, and Revelry," the Stanford Axe Committee (or Axe Comm) is a student group devoted to supporting Stanford's excellent athletics program. Our primary responsibility is to guard and care for the Stanford Axe, the trophy of the annual Big Game between Stanford and UC Berkeley. In addition to Axe security, the Axe Committee plays a large role in promoting school spirit by attending athletic games and events. During football season, Axe Committee members are on the sidelines during each game waving flags, rallying the crowd, and blowing our train whistle every time Stanford scores. The Axe Committee also waves flags on the court for Stanford Basketball and on the field for Stanford Soccer.

The Stanford Explorers Club aims to inspire students to projects and careers exploring land, air, sea, and space. SEXC will do this through monthly virtual and in-person speakers (Astronaut Jonny Kim, Arctic Explorer Colin O'Brady etc…), biweekly "TALKS" in which current students share about their research or exploration adventure (Daviana on her ocean research, Maxim on rowing the Atlantic, Michelle on summiting Denali), and social events in which students can brainstorm and form groups for projects to be completed outside the club.

The Stanford Mixology Club aims to connect students across campus with a shared interest in learning about the art, history, and science of drink-making. We aim to connect the Stanford community through engaging events, including workshops on fermentation of non-alcoholic drinks, drink-making techniques, and seasonal Californian ingredients, as well as social gatherings featuring non-alcoholic fermented drinks. By exploring the historical roots of drinks—from apothecaries to modern mixology—and hosting expert speakers, we foster curiosity, creativity, and meaningful connections across campus.

Social Gaming: SVGA endeavors to bring the Stanford community together through social video gaming in the form of in-person LAN parties, on and off campus gaming events, and campus-wide game nights.
Competitive Gaming: SVGA will tryout, organize, and manage competitive teams representing Stanford in any intercollegiate or similar competitions. The processes for competitive team tryouts will be determined on a per-game and per-competition basis.
Educational Gaming: SVGA will promote educational opportunities revolving around video game design. This includes, but is not limited to, exploring the possibility of videogame design classes and inviting industry experts to provide seminars.
