The purpose of the Stanford GSB Artificial Intelligence (AI) Club is to serve GSB students, faculty members, and the broad Stanford community as the bridge between frontier development in AI and its applications and influence on the business and social worlds. To achieve that, AI Club is Stanford's central hub for:
- Dialogue on business and social applications of AI
- Connecting Club members with AI industry leaders
- Receiving and accumulating the most holistic and up-to-date information about professional, business, and learning opportunities on AI at Stanford and beyond.

By doing this, the Club helps the GSB and the entire University in preparing future business and social leaders to confront and work with this technology and being successful in their careers.

We strive to increase awareness, knowledge, and opportunity at the GSB in the arts, media, and entertainment (AME) arenas, including film, TV, music, publishing, and new media technology. Our goals are 1) to educate members about the fundamentals and future of these industries; 2) increase professional opportunities for students; 3) promote network-building with alumni and industry representatives, and 4) showcase the creative talent and artistic diversity within the GSB community. The AME Club is made up of over 140 active MBAs as well as other graduate students, including Knight Fellows and Stanford Documentary Film Program students. Club membership has grown over 40 percent this year, reflecting the growing interest in AME industries. Many members have entertainment/media backgrounds, including positions at MTV, Disney, Universal, Time Warner, Pearson, and Fox, to name just a few.

The Basketball Club aims to enrich the student community at the GSB by creating a positive basketball community—composed of a diverse group of students within the GSB. The Black Business Student Association (BBSA) serves as a support network for Black MBA, MSx, and PhD students at the Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB). It also strives to enhance the GSB experience for all students; membership is open to all GSB students interested in cultural and professional issues that affect African-Americans.

The BBSA provides the opportunity for students to serve as mentors to local high school and undergraduate students, and interact with African-American GSB alumni. The annual gala presents a forum for the community to come together and discuss relevant issues and plan strategies for success, and features terrific keynote speakers.

The BBSA also plays a key role in connecting with the African-American communities at other top business schools. In addition, a growing number of companies are reaching out to the BBSA, in order to tap our high-quality talent pool.

The Business & Environment Club's goal is to cultivate a GSB community that incorporates environmental sustainability into its philosophy, curriculum, and operations. It also empowers its students and alumni to lead on environmental challenges in their industries. We focus on the following three themes through our activities:

The GSB Catholic Student Association (CSA) is committed to fostering a spiritual element within the GSB. We coordinate religious and social interaction amongst GSB Catholics, extending from weekly mass and prayer sessions, to BBQs, talks and other social events. The Consumer & Retail Club is designed for students interested in learning about or pursuing a career in the consumer & retail industry, both from an operating and investing perspective. Events throughout the year promote learning across the consumer industry and multiple retail sales channels (brick and mortar, direct-to-consumer, eCommerce, etc). In addition, events are organized to expose members to companies in a variety of segments and functional areas within the industry. These functional areas range from merchandising and supply chain management to marketing, strategy, and investing, while industry verticals range from beauty to fashion to CPG. We also aim to connect students with potential employers for networking purposes and proactively work with the CMC and reach out to companies based on student interest.

Our annual calendar includes treks (Europe, San Francisco, and Los Angeles); small group dinners focused on various channels, segments, and functional areas; alumni dinners; company visits; and other events.

Make dance across cultures accessible regardless of technical experience, background, or financial status:
- Create a space for classmates to learn new styles (including hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, ballroom, Bollywood, Bhangra, Salsa, AfroBeats, K-Pop, line dancing) by holding regular beginner classes from dance styles around the world
- Run mini performances/flash mobs in celebration of different cultural days or festivities e.g. Diwali, Christmas, independence days, Africa Day etc.

The Education Club engages Stanford business and education school students in discussions about education issues, their role in education, and business' role in education.

- To equip out members with knowledge, inspiration, network, and information to jump-start their entrepreneurial urges

The Stanford GSB Family Business Club is a home for those who want to build enduring, sustainable enterprises that often fall outside of the traditional Silicon Valley VC-fueled growth.

We exist to empower GSB students who are committed to creating or scaling lasting and impactful businesses that transcend generations. Friends of TALK functions as the steward organization for TALK, a hallmark tradition of the Stanford GSB experience in which students share their life stories with classmates in a vulnerable, intimate, and supportive setting. TALK exists to support Stanford GSB students in the process of self-reflection and meaning-making of their lives; to encourage an appreciation and empathy for the vast diversity of experiences represented within the Stanford GSB student body; and to strengthen community and facilitate relationship-building within and between the two MBA classes at Stanford GSB. To that end, we oversee the weekly gatherings of TALK and provide coaching to students as they prepare to share their stories.

The purpose of the FOM club is to help GSB students gain a deeper understanding of the rapidly changing mobility landscape that is being disrupted by self-driving and flying cars, new ownership models, and multi-modal transport models. These changes will have an unprecedented effect on hundreds of thousands of jobs in the US economy - and on society as a whole - and at the same time, create new business opportunities for entrepreneurs.

We will explore the four big trends that are actively challenging the existing infrastructure:

Connectivity: Cars will be able to communicate with each other, thereby avoiding accidents. What are some key technology trends to make this happen? What skills will be needed for entrepreneurs?
Autonomy: Cars will be able to drive themselves, which has tremendous effects on various factors such as urban planning, legal codes in case of accidents, insurances, business models for car producers, and new entrants such as Waymo and Uber, etc.
Sharing: Autonomous cars could be available at the click of a button, thus eliminating the need for personal car ownership. What are the effects on business models of car producers - a USD 2.3 trillion industry in the US alone?
Electric: Experts agree that the future of the car industry is in electric vehicles. Who will win in the race towards electric mass-mobility? Will it be prominent challengers such as Tesla or the established car producers?
