University policy governs all fundraising activities for cash, goods or services done by departments and student groups targeting off-campus entities including local businesses, corporations, foundations or individuals. Corporate fundraising activities by any Stanford entity, including student organizations, is restricted and requires prior university approval from the Office of Development and the Office of Student Engagement.

Mission
The Stanford Forest is the symbol of unity between students and athletes at Stanford University. We intend to build upon the tradition of success in Stanford Athletics by enhancing the fan experience and promoting a culture of student engagement and support. The Forest's mission is to conduct that which will add additional meaning to, and excitement for, Stanford's athletic programs. In coordination with the Office of Student Engagement, the Forest is chartered to fulfill that mission, in general, and to act as the defenders of all things Stanford.
